After 12 months of hard work by the Frucor team, Dilmah Ice Tea launched into the New Zealand market late last year!

The launch kicked off with Dilmah Founder Merrill Fernando and his son Dilhan Fernando (Dilmah’s International Marketing Director) visiting New Zealand for the ‘International Product Launch’ at Countdown Greenlane, Auckland, delighting local shoppers and media with our new product!

Launching at the start of a hot summer it was the perfect time for a new drink that’s all about great tasting refreshment. Dilmah Ice Tea is made with tea extract specially grown and handpicked from Dilmah’s family tea gardens in Sri Lanka. The result is a great tasting range of authentic Peach and Lemon Ice Teas, which are also a natural source of antioxidants.

Frucor Beverages made a large investment in the launch of Dilmah Ice Tea.  Its introduction into the market was supported by a robust media relations plan and an extensive sampling campaign that saw over 200,000 samples of Dilmah Ice Tea handed out over summer.
